So many times I've found myself trying to recognize the sites I add to my bookmarks by simply reading their URL addresses and it always remains the feeling there should be a better way to keep them organized and easily recognizable at first sight.
For instance, visually displaying them.
And so Egaroo was born.
Every interesting and useful website I find is added to my favorites list. Then I create a banner using existing visual elements from there, search keywords that may apply, tag and upload them to the system.
Just as bloggers add texlinks to their blogs linking to websites they recommend, I decided to take it a step further by doing it the hard way, witch could be only understand as a very personal approach to share my findings to the world.
Considering it will become an endless task for a single person, we have designed Egaroo to allow websites owners and webmasters upload their own banners, thus helping me make this directory grow and helping themselves achieve more visibility and free traffic to their sites.
Egaroo's goal now is to create an on-line community of businesses, independent professionals and individuals with the opportunity to receive clicks for free and leave aside boring adwords or expensive banner campaigns.
